If you didn't back up the 3.0.0 database before installing a later version (and thereby upgrading the database automatically during the installation) then, as I understand it, there's no going back without deleting the database and starting again. But it doesn't show up in the archive either.Ī complete guess: the dt database format has been updated at least once (probably more times) since 3.0.0 and is not backwards compatible. I would expect to get it back to my inbox, but that may differ. I've signed up for darktable's mailing list and tried to ask there. It removed everything from the program directory. I ran the Uninstall.exe belonging to darktable. Doesn't help.Īny idea what can cause this? Some hidden files that need to be deleted? Anything? I'm used to darktable now and want to continue to use it. I've tried to uninstall and install again, rebooted, set it to run as admin. No trace of any process running in task manager. It won't run! The terminal window just flickers and immediately closes. Just checking: by "maunally uninstalled", you mean that you used the normal Windows uninstall capability?Īnd then installed the version I previously had, 3.0.0. Hence I manually uninstalled the new version It ran fine, but I found it confusing and decided to go back to the previous version. I decided to upgrade to the latest version and chose the option to uninstall the old version during setup. I've used darktable since a few versions back without problems.
